Focus and Scope

Patanjala is a journal containing research on cultural values, cultural preservation, history, art, and film in Indonesia. Patanjala aims at providing a media for researchers, academia, pamong budaya, and graduate students to publish their research in the field of anthropology, history, art, and cultural studies. In addition, Patanjala aims to disseminate information related to cultural and historical preservation in Indonesia to the public.

Patanjala is published by Center for Preservation of Cultural Values of West Java, Directorate General of Culture,  The Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. Patanjala accepts articles from authors of national or international institutions. Authors are free of charge throughout the whole process comprising article submission, review and editing process, and publication.

Peer Review Process

Patanjala reviewing policies are:

  • Every submitted paper will be reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers.
  • Reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewers.
  • Reviewing process will consider novelty, objectivity, method, scientific impact, conclusion, and references.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

 

Publication Frequency

First published in 2009, PATANJALA is a triannual journal, issued in March, June and September. Starting in 2020, however, it will only be published biannually, issued in April and October.

 

Open Access

PATANJALA provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public to supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Plagiarism Check

Each article will be checked for plagiarism.

 

Accreditation Certificate

Patanjala has been certificated as a Scientific Journal by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Republic Indonesia with Second Grade (Peringkat 2, Sinta 2) since year 2018.

Every article accepted by Patanjala Journal will be review by Language Reviewer.

If this paper is accepted for publication, you will not be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.
